The short version
Your work is not a service.
Studio has no account, advertising, app-operated cloud service, remote analytics, or telemetry. The app does not upload your media to YouTube. The website is static and contains no cookies, analytics, third-party scripts, or remote fonts.
Who I am
After2AM Studio is made by David Relich, an independent developer trading as After2AM Studio. This policy explains how the Studio app and this website handle information.
Data the app keeps locally
Studio needs a catalog to organise a production. Application metadata and internal documents are stored in a local SQLite library beneath:
~/Library/Application Support/After2AMManager/
That directory can include the live library, verified session snapshots, recovery drafts, and an in-progress workspace relocation journal. Titles, notes, schedules, file locations, storage configuration, and other production details can be private even though they never leave your Mac through Studio.
Other content has its own local owner:
- Episode scripts remain portable
Script.mdfiles inside their episode folders. - Media, templates, production assets, and generated previews live in the filesystem roots you configure.
- Those roots can be on the Mac, a removable disk, or a mounted network share you already control.
- Unsaved long-form edits can have local recovery copies until you save or explicitly discard them.
Network access and third parties
The app has no login, third-party package dependency, or app network client. It does not authenticate with YouTube, upload media, schedule a remote release, or synchronise publishing status. Upload entries in Studio are local planning records.
If you choose a folder on a mounted network share, macOS and that filesystem connection handle access to it. Studio does not mount the share or store credentials for it.
Emailing support uses your mail provider and the support mailbox provider. Following the Ko-fi link opens Ko-fi in your browser; Ko-fi’s own terms and privacy practices apply there. Neither service is contacted merely by opening Studio or viewing this website.
This website
The site at studio.after2am.dev is plain, static HTML and CSS. Its source includes no cookies, forms, analytics, tracking pixels, advertising code, third-party scripts, or externally hosted fonts.
Your browser still requests these pages and images from the web server. Any ordinary access logs are controlled by the server configuration used to host the site, not by code in the site itself.
Security and backups
Local does not mean encrypted. Studio’s SQLite library can contain sensitive production details and file paths, and the database itself is not encrypted. Turn on FileVault and use an encrypted backup destination when that information is sensitive.
Studio creates a small set of verified session snapshots for recovery, but those are not a complete backup plan. Back up the entire After2AMManager Application Support directory plus Primary, Archive, and B-roll Library storage. Do not copy only a live library.sqlite while SQLite’s write-ahead log is active.
Imports treat source files as read-only, copy into a hidden partial destination, and verify the result with SHA-256 before the final destination becomes visible. Keep camera originals and independent media backups until you have inspected your copies.
Retention and removal
Studio retains local records and files until you change or remove them. Removing the app bundle does not necessarily remove its Application Support directory, recovery material, backups, or media in configured storage roots.
To remove the local catalog, quit Studio first, preserve any backup you intend to keep, then remove the complete ~/Library/Application Support/After2AMManager/ directory. This does not remove media stored in Primary, Archive, B-roll, or episode folders; manage those files separately in Finder.
Start Fresh is for replacing the bundled sample catalog. It keeps storage choices and never deletes episode or media files.
Children
Studio is a general-purpose production tool and is not directed at children. The app has no account system or online service through which it knowingly collects personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If Studio’s data handling changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change. A change to the app’s privacy model will not be hidden behind an old policy.
